Latest Project: BIRTHDAY BOARD

A friend of mine showed me this idea she found on another blog about a birthday board. I thought it sounded like a great idea so 3 of us worked together and made these. I had to work my butt off to get it done for Jillian's birthday, but I got it done and we had a BLAST celebrating her for her birthday week. She felt so special/loved and the other kids can't wait until their birthdays!

I set this up 1 week before the birthday.

This is the back and what shows on the actual birthday.

Countdown from 6 to 1 for the week before.

Birthday person gets to pick meals for the week before the big day.

Each day there is an activity to do as a family to celebrate the birthday person.

1. Decorate the house for the birthday 2. Fun Family Night of games, movies, treats... 3. Date Night with Mom or Dad

4. Make a sign, etc to show why you love the birthday person 5. Family Home Evening: night of pictures, videos, stories about the birthday person 6. Read birthday book and have special treat

Each of the 6 days before the birthday the birthday person gets to open a little present: stickers, dvd, coupon for staying up an extra hour at night, candy bar, etc.

Decorations: we made wood letters to spell "Wish" and attached clothes pins to the back to hold pictures of the birthday person

We Love Jillian sign- everyone wrote why they love her and we put it on the door.

Special pillowcase from birthday fabric the birthday person gets to sleep on the week of their birthday.
