Our Favorite New Toy!

Our friends moved to Washington DC and so we were blessed with an unexpected gift this Christmas. The kids love this swingset and I love the sanity I get with them being outside! It's been the best thing ever! They will spend hours outside playing and since we've had an unusually dry and warm January they are getting tons of use out of it.

Caden's 1st Pinewood Derby!

Last night was Caden's Cub Scout Pinewood Derby! He worked so hard designing, cutting, sanding, painting and adding weights to his car. He had a blast racing it and seeing all the other cars. He's already wanting to start working on another car for next year!

Merry Christmas!

I know I'm really late to be posting Christmas pics, but things are always so busy around here! We had a fabulous Christmas this year! The kids sure must have been good because Santa got them just what they wanted! We had a delicious breakfast and enjoyed playing with toys, singing Christmas carols and seeing family later that day. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday too!

Flashback Fotos- Hand Me Downs

My mom found clothes she had saved from when my sisters and I were kids. I tried on a bunch for fun and they sure are groovy! Some are super cute and I'm going to have my girls wear, but others we all had a good laugh at.

Madelyn's laughing in the first one saying, "I'm wearing PAJAMAS!", the second is super cute and will be worn with jean capris and the third we all laughed at.

I remember wearing this outfit Maddie has on to preschool. It's velvet and the top has rows of white eyelet ruffles. Maddie said, "I'm going to a WEDDING!"

Jillian's wearing a white dress as a top. I'll have her wear it with jean capris. She was really sad that only one thing fit her.

My mom has a picture of my sister Amanda wearing that rainbow striped shirt. I remember Sara wearing that whale outfit. I think it's super cute on Eden, but Bryan said, "No way." for her wearing it this Summer. Little does he know I already put it in her drawer! The last is a purple velvet dress with lots of lace. We all laughed and Bryan's offered me $5 if I have Eden wear it one day to church.

I think the tulip overalls are sweet! The dress is so short! My mom said that was the style, but seriously, that is way too short! The last is a whole lot of pastel plaid corduroy. It's a little big, but she'll wear it.

That heart shirt with lace is awful! We all cringed when she put it on. The pink polka dot dress is super cute and perfect for hot Summer days. The red jacket is super cute, but it doesn't have a button or zipper. She keeps taking it off.

The first two were fun to see her in and brought back memories. Sara used to wear that red and white dress set. The last one is a dress, but looks so cute with jean capris. Love the purple smocking!

The first one is awful, but Eden loved it! She was so happy running around the house in it! The jean overalls are so stinking cute! My mom has the cutest picture of Alyssa wearing them! They're too long, but she'll wear them when they fit! The last one is not very cute, but I might use the top with some different shorts.

The pajamas are way too small and totally pilled, but my kids were so excited to see that I used to wear footed pajamas too! The lavender overalls are so sweet!
