Our Valentine's Projects:

I LOVE Valentine's Day! This year I wanted to be more creative so I put my new Cricut to use and got crafty!

I made my first banner!

I made cards!

I made a table display!

I asked the kids if they wanted to make Valentines or buy them. It was unanimous that they wanted to make them. Here's what we came up with.

Caden: he learned to use a paper cutter, wrapped all the bars, glued them with glue dots and put everything together. The only thing I did was buy the paper and make the robot label.

Jillian: she put everything together by herself. I only bought the stuff and printed out the labels.

Madelyn: she helped scoop the M&Ms in the bags and learned how to tie on the bows. What a big helper she was!

- I bought the shovels on ebay. I searched plastic shovels and bought an auction that sold them in a lot of 36. The shovels were about 3 inches wide and 7 inches tall.
- I used a 2 inch scallopped punch.
-Someone told me she just bought the same shovels for $0.40/ each at Giant Party Store online. Here's a link to the shovels.

So cute! How big were the shovels? I found some that were 7" tall by 3" across... seems kind of big but may work well.

Oh my goodness!!! I had no idea so many people were leaving comments here to ask questions! I'm so sorry!

I got the shovels on ebay. I searched plastic shovels and bought them in a set of about 36. I can't remember how much they were but I think this is an example of the ones I used:

Where do you get the file for the cute I dig label and robot label

Anonymous said...

Did you print the shovel tags on cardstock or just paper? Also, I'm afraid the little logo is going to show if I use the scalloped punch you recommended but it doesn't look like it did on yours. Was the logo on it when you did yours? Thanks.

Anonymous said...

Where did you get the bags for the shovels?

The Fry Family said...

I bought the bags at Michael's and I printed the labels on white cardstock. The logo didn't show when I did them, but I might not have noticed if they did. Sorry!

They have cute bags at Target too
