( Madelyn Grace yesterday)Maddie was such a brave girl today and made it through her first surgical procedure amazingly. This morning she got tubes in her ears and is already happy and recovering perfectly. The nurses all thought she was the cutest thing ever walking around with her little gown and blue hospital booties. She bravely walked with the nurse away from her parents until she realized they weren't following. Then she kicked the nurse and tried to get away. After a little while the nurse came back asking Mom to come help with Maddie. She was awake and not happy. The nurses exact words were "She sure knows the word "NO!" I went to her and she instantly stood and I picked her up. She stopped crying and just held on tight. We went home about an hour later. Everything went so smooth and I'm incredibly grateful for all the prayers on her behalf.

Oh the tubes! I got tubes in my ears when I was 3. I still remember it, too. It can be really scary. I'm glad everything is all right now. No more ear aches!
Poor thing. So glad she did alright. I don't know how you could withstand it without bawling your eyes out (unless you did of course..). It was so great seeing you guys!! Miss you already!!
